TAIWAN For UN

(All in Chinese Language, no English subtitle)

China/PRC Official barbarically grabbed Taiwan’ flags in an international competition

During the International Children’s Games held in Bangkok Saturday, PRC sports officials barbarically grabbed Taiwan’ flags which Taiwan competitors had wrapped around their shoulders on the way to the stage to receive medals on three occasions and even engaged in pulling matches over the banners.

Even for the recent Little League World Series, our Taiwan Children cannot use “Taiwan”, “ROC”, or even “Taiwan Taipei” to join. I had to use “Asia Pacific” as our team name to join. Why no country wants to stand up for Taiwan?

Who is always threatening? Taiwan or China? China says Taiwan is a threat to peace?

Freedom without fear is a basic human right.
Does Taiwan not qualify?

ChthoniC “UNLimited TAIWAN” Short Film

ChthoniC, Taiwan’s heavy metal band, hopes that, through the ‘Unlimited’ power of its rock music, more and more international friends will understand and support Taiwan in its bid to enter the United Nations. For more information about the band and their U.S. tour, please go to http://www.chthonic.org/en/

Limited Freedom , Limited Rights
I am disappointed by the U.S. official comments and actions against Taiwan to join UN

“I thought for a long time debating whether I should post this video or not. I can see many people, especially from mainland China, posting hateful comments. Please, people, I totally believe in freedom of speech, you can say anything you like, whether you think TW is a country or not, as long as you don’t attack another peron (+me) in harmful words. Through out the process of making this animation, I realized it is hard to convince a person’s political stand point. Even some TW think TW is a part of CH, and it is sad TO ME. However, I still respect their opinion. But what I came to realize in the end is the possible war between TW and CH. I understand some of you might say CH would never invade TW, but even if there is only 1% possibility, it is still worrisome. That is why I finally decide to post this animation…hopefully I make the right decision.

I personally think TW is a country, and I know some of you is not going to be happy when I say that. Here is some facts support my POV, so I will get less hate mails:
1.Taiwan has its own culture, history, currency, organization, government, land, law, president, and a 23 million population.

2. Taiwan was a province of China that was lost to Japan in the First Sino-Japanese War. The province was returned in 1952 to Republic of China under the Treaty of Peace between Japan and ROC. ATTENTION, it’s Republic of China (a.k.a. Taiwan), not People of Republic of China.

3.If you search “UN” in wikipedia, then you can read all the history about TW’s position in UN. Basically we were one of the 5 permanat members until 1971 when our membership was “transferred” to China. Well…how did it transfer…let’s just say the US was a part of it as well…but that’s another animation”

Nutshell about Taiwan:

Taiwan is a country, Like South Korea. We have 23 million people. Please do not say we are not a country for your own political advantage with China. That is very selfish.

Republic of China is formal name for Taiwan. Since we do not want to confuse People to think Republic of China is “China”, we use “Taiwan” to present ourselves when we travel. Our government were the first government after the Chinese Emporor.

Because the socialism theory from Russia, the people of China were influencied and formed their own government while our government (ROC) were bleeding and sacrefing theirselves by fighting for the China against Japan in WWII. We were the ally with United States during WWII. Even my American friends know about Chiang Kai-shek who was our leader of the Kuomintang (KMT).  We were even already in the UN 40 years ago**.   The fact that we are the first government of China and a free and democratic country should not be rejected. The contribution of Taiwan Government to the world should not be ignored.

After all, our government regained Taiwan from Japan. Do you know how many new countries in the last 100 years? or even 200 yeasr? Do you consider them countries but not Taiwan? Why not to give a democratic country a chance? We have been We people from Taiwan know why. The presidents or the heads of other countries deny Taiwan as a country are either scared of China or just care too much about the political or economic disadvantages without China.

PS: Reunion of two countries should only happen when it is voluntary, but by force or political. After all, people matters. Every person has his own right for the freedom. And Taiwan do has all the elements needed to be a country.
