Interesting topic, interesting website:

“You knew it was going to happen, especially if you read about some of the abuses committed by commenters in my post about how incredible the former Costco return policy was. Well, Costco this week announced……………”
I like costco. It is more expensive to buy from them than other places but their warranty is the one that keeps me buying from them. I don’t know why it’s called wholesale warehouse if they can’t provide lower prices in eletronics. They had a 200 dollars rebate on one of their product (GPS) and everyone else was even sell CHEAPER than them……..wholesale??? Not true at all….they are taking away what is good from themselves.
Well, at least they are still provide the warranty a little longer than the other “retailers” now and we can’t blame them try to reduce the costs. I don’t know how they invented their good old policy and stay profitable. Do they try to make interests of the money before the good consumers return their merchandises?

Deal or No Deal
This is the quote from my friend
“NewEgg.com has the Plextor ConvertX PVR PX-TV100U External PVR with Tuner for $40 – $30 rebate [Exp 3/31] + $6 shipping =
$16 shipped after rebate. This is an all-in-one PVR + TV Tuner + Capture Device all bundled through an easy USB 2.0 interface.
Smokin’ price if it worked with MythTV, but I don’t see any evidence that it does. The Plextor TV402U is supported, but that device features MPEG4 encoding. This doesn’t. This gets fairly poor reviews on CNet, as its software is buggy, but without MythTV, I’d have to pass… #2 Doz – Posted 7:05 pm PST 03/9/07 (18 Posts) FYI – Does not work with Vista or MCE. Plextor web site states – “Note: ConvertX products are not compatible with Windows Media Center Edition or Windows Vista OS.”
